AGMO Expertise

AGMO Drone Services is based near White River, South Africa.

We specialises in Agricultural UAV Data Collection, led by Founder and CEO Monique Heydenrych - an industry certified operating pilot.

AGMO was born of the need for high-quality drone derived data.
A demand which has grown tremendously and as such the service area has expanded to meet this demand.

We service clients across the Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West and Gauteng provinces, and further afield on request.

SYNCHRONISED MULTILAYER IMAGE CAPTURE

State of the art surveying equipment captures six bands from the air, namely: red, green, blue, red edge, near-infrared and thermal. The capture of these bands happens at the same moment (synchronised capture) making the data easier to align and use for analytics - improving on turnaround times and for accurate real-world correlations.

Each data layer is individually displayed as a photogrammetrically orthorectified image (AKA “orthomosaic”) produced from an image collection. Layers can be displayed as individual orchards or within pre-set boundaries.

 PLANT STRESS ANALYSIS

AGMO integrates captured flight data with cloud-based technologies such as those from Aerobotics to assist clients in making informed decisions by leveraging high-integrity drone derived data outputs for practical next steps.

These data management platforms provide our clients with quick processing turnarounds on tree health statistics, plant census figures (including gapping stats), tree growth and size metrics.

Thermal info is used to monitor transpiration uniformity and water stress across blocks or to validate and monitor irrigation system layouts and any issues like blockages and distribution irregularities.

Beneficial Insect Releases

The SkyBugs Solution

Powered by Aerobotics + AGMO Drone Services

What is SkyBugs?

SkyBugs, a collaborative venture with FieldBugs (a respected integrated pest management provider) and Aerobotics (an industry-leading drone data analytics company) was established to assist farmers in effectively managing pests while minimising - or avoiding completely - the use of pesticides.

  • Enhanced the distribution of beneficial insects via drone

  • Quicker and more efficient approach to pest control.

Manage pest infestation to protect your yields

The battle between farmers and pests has been a never-ending concern from the earliest start of commercial crop production. With increasing market demands, farmers face considerable challenges in producing with little to zero chemical residue levels. The use of biological solutions (especially beneficial insects) plays a pivotal role in an integrated approach towards managing pests effectively and efficiently.

  • Beneficial insects include any of several species of insects that take on important roles like pollination and pest control.

  • Biological control is the strategic use of these beneficial insects (mostly predators and parasitoids) or pathogens (like fungi and viruses) to control unwanted insects, diseases, or both.

Together with the Aeroview platform farmers easily digitise their farming operations (orchards and vineyards) facilitating easier monitoring and management of pest and disease issues (including easy pest trap monitoring). FieldBugs currently supplies over 14 species of natural predators, offering a more sustainable solution to pest control challenges.

  • Uniform dispersal of various beneficial insects from the drone that accurately targets your pests on a per-tree level with a 50m search radius and 20m buffer. Beneficials are in their prime developmental condition by using our precision equipment.

  • Enhanced reach across dense crops and the top of large trees across any terrain.

  • A cost-effective and time saving solution to dispersing your beneficials that is 25x faster than manual release by covering up to 200+ha per day per drone.

  • Accurate quantification of beneficials dispersed, where, and with a detailed post flight report provided after every flight conducted.
